Interesting quote from the article. Clearly the author doesn't think it's too late for Takeshi. Maybe it's not too late for me, either.

The "rental sister" idea is perfect. However, the problem seems to be one that will self-correct in time because if as many young men are shutting themselves in as is indicated in the article, there will be no one for the young women in a few years and something will have to change. All the young women leave, or men from other countries come in (which I don't think would be allowed), or the young women will seek company with other young women and sperm banks will become all the rage.

Anyway, I don't think it is ever too late for anyone to do anything.
